Hestia Rodney Women’s Refuge

At Hestia Rodney Women’s Refuge, we support wāhine and tamariki experiencing family violence — with safety, dignity, and care.

We provide safe, confidential accommodation for high-risk situations, alongside intensive, wraparound support. We are not emergency housing.

How we can help:

  • Safety planning and risk assessment
  • Safe accommodation when it’s unsafe to stay at home
  • Advocacy and support with Police, courts, lawyers, Oranga Tamariki, WINZ and other agencies
  • Practical support to help you stabilise, access resources, and plan next steps

Need emergency housing?

If you need emergency housing due to homelessness, please contact WINZ (Work and Income) to discuss emergency housing options.

If you’re unsure what support is right for you, you’re welcome to reach out — we’ll listen and help you work out the safest next step.
